Call for Papers
As a continuation of the 26th National Urban Planning Conference, the 1st International Urban Planning Conference (iNUPC) 2024 intends to bring together scholars, practitioners, and researchers from the academic and professional sectors to discuss and exchange new ideas, research findings, and practical experiences about urban and regional planning.
In addition, it provides a prominent interdisciplinary forum for researchers and industry participants to present and discuss the most recent developments, trends, concerns, practical challenges, and adopted solutions.

EXTENDED ABSTRACT FORMAT
1. Authors are invited to submit the extended abstract and slide presentation through the submission system at https://nupc.graduate.utm.my
2. Submission must be of the author’s original work and should not have been published previously or under consideration for publication while being evaluated for the e-Proceedings.
3. Please download and use the template provided on the website.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINE
1. Extended Abstract
All physical and virtual presenters should submit 3-5 pages of extended abstract. The abstract should be between 3000-5000 words. Further explanation on the format is specified in the template file.
Submit your extended abstract in (.doc/.docx) format.
Please name your extended abstract file according to this format: iNUPC2024_ExtendedAbstract_Name_Title
2. Exhibition Poster
All physical presenters are required to prepare an A1 sized academic poster. The poster should be designed according to the presenter's preferences, and with appropriate composition depending on the information that will be included.
Submit the poster in (.pptx) format. Submission in (.pdf) file will be returned to presenters if not following the template given and should be resubmitted before the specified deadline.
Please name your poster according to this format: iNUPC2024_Poster_Name_Title
3. Video Presentation
All virtual participants are required to submit a presentation video along with the 3-5 pages of extended abstract.
The video should include your presence, a voice-over with PowerPoint slides, or a combination of creative methods that you prefer. For instance, you could incorporate multiple screens, with one displaying the PowerPoint slides and a smaller one featuring you as the presenter.
Time allocated for the video presentation is 3 minutes (maximum).
Presentation must be in English, with clear voice and audio, and the use of subtitles is COMPULSORY.
The video should not include any background music to prevent unclear audio of your presentation.
All information about the presentation such as title of the paper, authors’ name and authors' university must appear on the first slide of your presentation.
Please name your video file according to this format: iNUPC2024_Video_Name_Title
And your presentation slide according to this format: iNUPC2024_Slide_Name_Title
The final video should not exceed 1 GB in size.

PUBLICATION
All submitted forum papers will be peer-reviewed by our reviewers. The accepted papers will be published either in the forum e-book (ISBN) or e-proceeding (ISBN) depending on the recommendation of the reviewer panel.
