iNUPC 2026 - Call for Papers

Building on the success of its predecessors, the 3rd International Urban Planning Conference (iNUPC) 2026 is an annual flagship event organized by the final-year Urban and Regional Planning students of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). This conference serves as a strategic bridge between academic theory and industry practice. By convening the next generation of town planners alongside global experts, iNUPC 2026 focuses on smarter infrastructure, adaptive spatial planning, and sustainable growth. Our mission is to redefine how Southeast Asian cities thrive amidst the complex challenges of the 21st century.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINE FOR FULL PAPER (PROCEEDING,PANEL EXHIBITION AND PRESENTATION VIDEO)

1. Full Paper (for proceeding)

The font must be in Century Gothic, size 9 with 1.15 spacing.
The paper should be between 5 to 6 pages, including references.
The submission must be in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx).
The paper is only allowed to be uploaded in English.

2. Poster

The poster should be provided by the presenter who will attend the exhibition on 15th June 2026.
The poster must be A1 size (One page. Do refer to the poster template provided in the Paper Guideline poster).
Please refrain from altering the header, footer, or any pre-set content, except for the authors' names, the supervisor’s name (if applicable), the research title, and the institution’s name.
The poster is only allowed to be uploaded in the English language.
The poster should be submitted in PDF format only.

4. Video

General Guidelines
All virtual participants are required to submit a presentation video.
The video duration is limited to 3 minutes (maximum).
The video should include your presence, a voice-over with PowerPoint slides, or a combination of creative methods that you prefer.
Each presenter must adhere to the formal and neat dress code etiquette.
Presentation must be in English, with clear voice and audio, and the use of subtitles is COMPULSORY.
The video should not include any background music to prevent unclear audio in your presentation.
All information about the presentation, such as the title of the paper, the authors’ name(s), and the authors’ university, must appear on the first slide of your presentation.
The submission must be in MP4 (.mp4).

PUBLICATION

All submitted manuscripts will undergo a thorough peer-review process by qualified reviewers. Accepted final manuscripts will be published in the 3rd iNUPC 2026 Conference e-Proceedings. Access to the e-proceedings will be made available on this website at a later date.

GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS

We recommend referring to the Guidelines for Extended Abstract Submission before submitting your manuscript via the Google Form provided in the Call for Papers. Should you choose to submit a presentation video and/or an exhibition panel, please refer to their respective guidelines for specific requirements.
